Get Fit! Get Active: Kids Outdoors
Our busy lives make it difficult to take part in outdoor activities. We get caught up in our electronic devices, or we think the outdoors has simply lost its relevance in the lives of our children – who now spend only half as much time outside as their parents did. Whatever the reason, we are seeing the results: an obesity epidemic that has tripled among our children in the last generation.
One way for us to move toward a healthier lifestyle for ourselves and our children is to join the First Lady’s campaign. Let's Move! is a comprehensive initiative, launched by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.
Accept the Challenge! This summer, take your kids and yourself toward a healthier lifestyle on America’s Byways. Be sure to share your stories to inspire others!
